Le Tourmalet

The Tourmalet (9th) stage from Pau to Luchon was a decisive stage of the 1930 Tour, ascending both the Col d’Aubisque and Col du Tourmalet. Two riders were broken away over the two climbs, André Leducq (#38) and Benoit Faure (#122). Faure won the KOM on both climbs. We believe this image shows these two riders on the Aubisque before the final climb over the Tourmalet. Leducq won the leaders jersey on this stage and held it to the finish in Paris on the 27th July.
